1961– | Associate Professor of Italian, Comparative Literature and an Associate in the Department of Film Studies at the University of Colorado, USA. He is the author of Diario Italo-Americano (1997), Tradurre è tradire: La traduzione come sovversione culturale sotto il Fascismo (2002), and numerous articles on twentieth-century Italian literature. With Norma Bouchard he has also translated Franco Cassano's Southern Thought and Other Essays on the Mediterranean (2012).
